The popular exhibition “Please Touch the Art” will engage all five senses, with a focus on artists and visitors who are blind, visually impaired, or disabled, and for anyone who wants to experience art in new and exciting ways. Artworks in all media will be considered, with strong preference given to works that engage touch, sound, smell, taste, and/or include participatory elements. All work must be able to be touched. Proposals for new work or works-in-progress will also be considered. Each artist may submit up to three artworks for consideration. Must be at least 18 years of age to submit.

COMPENSATION
Each artist selected for the exhibition will be paid a $150 honorarium after the artwork is delivered. Collaborative works created by more than one artist will receive only one honorarium. Artists will not receive multiple honoraria if multiple works are accepted. Artists must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have a U.S. mailing address to receive the honorarium. TCC students and employees are eligible for the honorarium.

Selected artists may be invited to submit workshop proposals, which are eligible for additional compensation. Artwork may be offered for sale, but all details of the transaction, including any applicable taxes, must be handled solely by the artist. No commission will be assessed.

CONSIDERATIONS
Artwork must arrive ready to hang/display. Framing is not required. Please consider how the artwork will be safely exhibited, considering that no holes can be nailed or drilled into the walls or floor of the exhibition space. Work may be displayed via a hook and wire hanging system, on podiums, or on the floor. Adhesive decals that are easily removed may be used on windows or walls. Artists may also build/create their own display solution.  All art exhibitions are deemed at the artist's own risk.

An online exhibition agreement must be e-signed prior to delivery of the artwork. Large artwork must be delivered directly to the Center for Creativity in Tulsa. Other artwork can be delivered to the Center for Creativity or the OVAC offices in Oklahoma City, details forthcoming. Artists may also ship work at their own expense, including a pre-paid return shipping label.
